Renzo Zong’s Del Perú EP bridges ancestral memory and modern mysticism, rooted in his Peruvian heritage and shaped by the pulse of the global dancefloor. Drawing from the sacred sounds of Renzo Zong’s homeland, the EP fuses traditional Peruvian instrumentation with tribal grooves, electronic textures, and psychedelic undertones.
“Pia Pia” opens the journey with lush percussive textures and intuitive rhythms that ripple through a kaleidoscopic soundscape-an ode to the untamed soul of the land. “Pajarito,” featuring the poetic cadence of Javier Lazo, glimmers with airy flutes and hypnotic flows, fluttering like a bird mid-flight between euphoria and reverie. Dreamlike synths wash over delicate melodies, creating a space where dance becomes meditation. The final track, “Tulumayos,” is a charged homage to ancient tribes, a rhythmic retelling of devotion to Pachamama. Whistling motifs pierce through driving beats, stirring something primal and pure. Earthy percussion grounds the body while celestial tones lift the spirit, crafting a ritualistic experience that’s both ecstatic and sacred. Del Perú is a ritual in motion, channeling ancestral echoes into a transcendent dance of sound and spirit.
